How does the 2025 MN E-bike Tax Rebate Credit work?
- MN is offering a rebate of 50-75% of the purchase price of an e-bike and qualifying accessories, up to $1500.
- Purchase must be from participating approved retailers.
- Electric bikes must have a battery or electric drive system that's been tested and approved by an independent safety lab.
- Rebate percentage is based on 2024 Adjusted Gross Income (you can calculate an estimated rebate below).
- Applications for rebate vouchers open at a date TBD by the MN Dept. of Revenue and are first-come, first-served.
- Vouchers will be issued on a date TBD by the MN Dept. of Revenue.
- Program funds are limited to $2 million likely meaning less than 1,500 people will receive one.
- Last year, the voucher application web site crashed due to high demand. Be ready!
